In July of this year, Asus introduced its newest gaming smartphone portfolio. The ROG Phone 6 line presently consists of two handsets, the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro, both of which use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 CPU, 165Hz AMOLED screens, enormous 6,000mAh batteries, and a slew of unique gaming features. However, Asus intends to add another smartphone to the range shortly, the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.

Asus has publicly acknowledged that it is developing a phone with the enhanced Dimensity 9000+ processor; the first official teaser refers to the phone as the "Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate."
Three weeks from today, on September 19, the new model will be introduced. There will be concurrent events in New York (8:00 a.m.), Berlin (2:00 p.m.), and Taipei (8:00pm).
Officially, the 9000+ claims 5% faster CPU and 10% higher GPU scores than the vanilla chipset. However, an early AnTuTu test suggests that the ROG Phone 6D is only a few percent slower than its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ sister, the 6 Pro. And this is only for the total score; the CPU score was greater than any Qualcomm chip ever tested.
