You may have heard about cookies stored in the web browser that does a similar job, but there are a ton of apps that are loaded with such trackers and loggers that not just intend to store the data but also share it with 3rd party clients.
So if you are more concerned with privacy than a normal user then keep reading this blog as we will brief you on an open-source application known as Warden, developed by the developers of Aurora Store, that claims to block all such tracker and loggers.
Warden has a static curated list of known trackers (Exodus Privacy) , each app's dex file is read to retrieve the class names, these class names are then matched with the signatures of known trackers & loggers to find them.
Loggers in the context of Warden means all utilities which are used to log user activity on an app or logcat in general. Not all loggers are evil.
But few logging tools like ACRA, xLog are very powerful tools that can send user data to devs without user's consent.
So with the power of root Warden eliminates such trackers and loggers
Features:
- Detects Trackers & Loggers across whole device
- Allows to disable all trackers/loggers
- Advance profile based app de-bloater
Also note that features such as "De-Bloater" and "Nuke it" requires root and are experimental. So try them on your own risk.
