I just opened Google Pay and saw that I have $46 in "rewards" that I got "for dogfooding the Google Pay Remittance experience."

This means that if the cash credit was still in the user's Google Pay account and unused, it has been or will be reversed by Google. However, if the user had already cashed out the money, they can keep it without any obligation to return it.
