The Redmi Note 12 was also unveiled at the Redmi Note 12 Pro series launch event in China. The announcement of this device was unexpected because there had been no teasers or leaks about it. The smartphone comes with identical design and is powered by SnapDragon 4 Gen 1.
The Redmi Note 12 features a 6.67-inch centred punch-hole Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The panel has a contrast ratio of 4500000:1, a peak brightness level of 1200 nits, 4096-level dimming, and a DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. It runs MIUI 13 on Android 12.
On the back, it has a dual camera system with a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The IP53-rated smartphone includes a fingerprint sensor on the side, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C connectivity options.
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
