- Specs and renders of the rumored Samsung Galaxy M52 5G have leaked.
- The device could sport a 120Hz AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 778G SoC, and a triple rear camera.
- There’s no word on a launch date or pricing just yet.
Firstly, the Galaxy M52 5G reportedly packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED with 2,400 x 1,080 resolution. More importantly, it will apparently sport a 120Hz refresh rate, making it unique in Galaxy M range. The faster display would also bring the phone up to speed with rivals from Xiaomi, Realme, and newer Galaxy A devices.
Based on leaked renders, the Galaxy M52 5G will feature a similar pin-stripe aesthetic to its Galaxy M32 sibling which launched in June. One key difference, though, is the Galaxy M52 5G’s vertically aligned triple rear camera array. The tip suggests these lenses will include 64MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide, and 5MP depth sensors.
Finally, it seems Samsung may include a 15W charger in the box but there’s no word on battery capacity. Considering the Galaxy M51 packed a hefty 7,000mAh cell, we wouldn’t be surprised to see an equally large battery in its successor. However, the rumor suggests the Galaxy M52 5G will weigh nearly 40 grams less than its predecessor, throwing the presence of a similarly massive power store in doubt.
None of these specs is cast in stone just yet, so take them with a pinch of salt. There’s no confirmation of the Galaxy M52 5G’s official debut or details regarding its price. The Galaxy M51 landed for Rs 24,999 (~$349) but considering its successor is more akin to the Galaxy A52 5G, we might see its price pushed above Rs 30,000 (~$407). Even with an increase, there’s a chance that the Galaxy M52 5G could be Samsung’s cheapest 120Hz smartphone once it officially breaks cover.
