The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series has been seen in high-resolution leaked renderings. The photographs were supplied by trustworthy tipper Evan Blass (aka evleaks) in partnership with 91Mobiles. The next-generation Galaxy Watch will be unveiled on August 10th at the brand's Unpacked event.
The leaked images provide an improved look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. Closer study reveals that the first two models, from left to right, have model numbers SM-R920 and R925F, which match to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Both watches have a 45mm display and a sporty watch strap.
The following three devices are most likely the normal Galaxy Watch 5 models SM-R900, SM-R905F, and SM-R910. These will come with 40mm and 44mm dial sizes. The silicone straps of the standard Watch 5 have a buckle mechanism.
The Pro edition has larger bezels and is thicker (owing to a larger battery) than the ordinary version. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Watch 5 both include two physical buttons on the right side, as well as a tiny hole that we think is a microphone. The Galaxy Watch 5 series will be waterproof to a depth of 5 metres.
The Galaxy Watch 5 series will include GPS built-in. LTE capability will be available in one model of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (SM-R925F) and one variant of the ordinary Galaxy Watch 5 (SM-R905F). The Pro model is spotted in Black and Brown, while the ordinary model is scheduled to be available in Rose Gold, Lavender, and Black.
