Unfortunately, it seems that many Samsung Pay users are experiencing problems using the service on devices from other brands.
From what has been learned from posts posted on Reddit and Samsung forums, users who are attempting to access their Samsung Pay accounts on a non-Samsung smartphone are greeted with an error message stating that their ID is invalid.
The inconvenience is made even more strange by the fact that most of these users use smartwatches produced by the company itself, such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
At this point it is unclear whether this is a bug or a change in functionality, as some users say Samsung has opened a support ticket, while others say the company has informed them that other manufacturers' smartphones are not. they will support more Samsung Pay.
If the latter were the case, it is strange that Samsung did not notify anyone in time, however many users claim that only after switching to a new smartphone and trying to configure Samsung Pay did they encounter this error message.
In addition, the official troubleshooting page reports that the only requirement for using Samsung Pay on a smartwatch associated with a non-Samsung smartphone is Android 6.0 or later.
If the feature becomes exclusive, users who have purposely purchased a Samsung smartwatch to use Samsung Pay may find themselves confused, unless the problem is somehow related to the newly formalized Samsung Wallet.
