In particular, in the list of devices for which the end of the support (or EOS) have been established, there are both Redmi's smartphones, and Xiaomi's smartphones and tablets.
For those who do not know, the devices included in the end support list do not receive more firmware updates and the Xiaomi team has specified that it may not even guarantee the resolution of any vulnerability relating to safety (usually the manufacturer provides security updates for at least 2 years from the launch).
Well, these are the latest devices to have been added by Xiaomi in the list of those for which the end of the support was established:
Redmi K20
Redmi Note 7 Pro
Redmi Note 7S
Redmi Note 7
Redmi 7
Redmi Y3
Xiaomi mi pad 4 plus
Xiaomi mi pad 4
Xiaomi me play
Xiaomi mi 9 SE
Among the most popular models are those of the Redmi Note 7 series, which made its debut in March 2019 and which, therefore, was able to count on three years of software updates (although only one of the operating system, namely Android 10)
Redmi K20 Pro also was able to rely on almost three years of updates, having been launched in July 2019.
The owners of these devices at this point face them the opportunity to continue using them without receiving further updates (and with the risk of exposing themselves to any vulnerability) or to contact the world of modding and choose from the various possible personalized ROM developed from the community that revolves around Android.
