Since the demise of Vanced, there has been no alternative to YouTube that offers the same functionality. Yes, there are open-source apps like newpipe and skytube that are fairly excellent, but they are not particularly popular among users who prefer the original YouTube interface. After receiving a stop and desist notice from Google, the creators of YouTube Vanced stated that the app will be shut down. They were also compelled to cease creating and distributing the app by Google. As a result, a new initiative called ReVanced was formed to continue on the vanced heritage.
- What Is ReVanced?
ReVanced is a modular patcher for apps such as YouTube. This project was born out of Vanced's discontinuation and it is our goal to continue the legacy of what Vanced left. - How does ReVanced work?
ReVanced does not distribute any proprietary file but instead provides open-source patches. Patches can be created for any Android app. The ReVanced Manager will use the patcher as its core to apply patches of your choice on your desired app. On rooted devices, ReVanced can mount the patched app over the original application. On non-rooted devices, ReVanced will install it under a different package name.
NOTE: The Project is still in development and you can learn more about it from ReVanced's Github Or Discord server.
How To Install ReVanced On Your Android Smartphone Without Root
Because ReVanced Manager isn't currently available, you'll have to apply patches manually. You have to wait if you don't want to do it yourself till Manager is released

- STEP 1
First download Openzulu JDK 17. You can grab it from here and install it.
- STEP 2
Now you have to download all files given below
1. revanced-cli-1.3.0-all.jar (Here) (Latest if updated)
2. revanced-patches-1.2.1.jar (Here) (Latest if updated)
3. Youtube app ( 17.22.36 ) (Here) (Download Apk not bundled one)
4. Revanced integrations app (Here) (Latest if updated)
Now rename the downloaded youtube app to 'youtube.apk' ( just for convenience ) and Revanced integrations app to 'integrations.apk' . And then rename revanced cli package to 'rec.jar' and similarly revanced patches package to 'rep.jar' and now put all the files in a single folder.
- STEP 3
Download latest Microg apk from here or you can also use vanced microg and install youtube app (17.22.36 ) and microg on your smartphone. - STEP 4
Turn on USB Debugging on your smartphone and connect your phone to the Laptop/Desktop in ADB Mode. ( Learn it from here )
Run The Following Command
Copy the device id displayed on the left side of the 'device' for eg mine is c9308902
- STEP 5
Now Run the following command replacing the 'device id(from earlier step)' with your device id and press Enter.
Wait for the process to end. when it says done it will have installed youtube revanced app on your phone .Login through google account using microg and enjoy ad-free content.
Some users may have received an error message stating that their device's built-in YouTube app cannot be downgraded or removed, resulting in an incompatible version issue. You may delete app updates by going to the app details area and tapping the three dots on the right top. Install the apkmirror youtube apk after removing updates. Your versions will now match, and an incompatible version error will no longer appear.
All patches available gets automatically applied, Now if you dont want a specific patch for eg if you dont want amoled black just use ' -e amoled '. Similarly if you dont want shorts patch you can disable it by using
' -e shorts-button ' .
Patches for later versions of the YouTube app may be applied using the same procedure. Also, because patches, cli-versions, and integrations will be updated, utilise them as needed. To patch the latest version you need to add --debugging at the end of the command to skip version checking. But do note that it should only be used for debugging purposes. Applying patches on untested/unsupported versions of apps is not guaranteed to always work.
For Rooted version , follow the same method, at Step 5 just dont include ''-i microg-patch'' & "--install", After the patching is finished, the log on screen will appear, and the YouTube app will open on your screen. It's best not to update your app via the Play Store because it can break fixes ( turn off auto update and always cancel update to the app ).
Similarly you can check patches for Youtube Music. However, Patched Youtube Music doesn't work yet and gets crashed.
You can check all patches available here : Github
Update: Latest version of revanced-cli.jar doesn't seem to work for patching. If you too face error while patching, try using an older version of cli-package to avoid this problem.
