Samsung has unveiled a fresh functionality for its Bixby assistant, which utilizes AI technology to generate a replicated version of a user's voice in order to answer phone calls. Known as the "Custom Voice Creator", the feature permits users to capture a variety of sentences that Bixby can examine to create an AI-generated imitation of their voice and tone. The current version of this feature is solely accessible in Korean, and it can only be utilized on the Galaxy S23 series devices.
Samsung has launched the Custom Voice Creator, a new feature for Bixby that lets users use an AI-generated version of their voice to answer phone calls on their behalf. If a user is unable to answer a call, they can use the feature to type out a message that Bixby will read out loud to the caller in their own voice. Samsung intends to make the Custom Voice Creator compatible with other Samsung capabilities beyond phone calls in the future.
Samsung has also announced that Bixby Text Call, which transcribes voice calls into written text, now supports calls in English. Initially launched in Korean last year, Text Call allows users to respond to calls by typing a message that Bixby will read out loud to the caller. The feature is available on several Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S23, the Z Fold 4, and the Z Flip 4.
Additionally, Samsung is expanding Bixby's offline capabilities, such as setting a timer, taking a screenshot, or turning on the flashlight. This development enables users to access Bixby's functionalities even when they are not connected to the internet.

Samsung is also allowing users to customize Bixby's wake-up phrase and play music depending on the type of exercise that is playing on Samsung Health. The company claims that Bixby can now better understand the user's intent and process follow-up requests by understanding the context and associating words previously used in interactions.
Although the Custom Voice Creator feature is currently limited to the Galaxy S23 series devices in Korean, it is a significant step towards making AI-generated voices more accessible and personalized. Samsung plans to make this feature available to more users in the future.
