Smartisan fans are well aware of the brand's vicissitudes, the arrival of the crisis (even if always strongly denied by the CEO) and salvation thanks to ByteDance, home of TikTok. According to what was reported by the Chinese media, ByteDance would have pulled the plug of the mobile division as early as January 13: the company that owns TikTok would have already absorbed the Smartisan research and development team in its hardware team. ByteDance closes Smartisan Product Manager Zhu Haizhou also intervened in all this, through a post on Weibo and comments, who specified some details. Obviously the after-sales services, assistance and software maintenance of the system will continue and the current owners of a Smartisan-branded smartphone can sleep peacefully.
