And so on the smartphones of the Google Pixel series (and other brands) it will no longer be possible to access the section that allows you to view the situation relating to Google Play system updates, with information on the latest version installed and a special button to check the availability of new releases.

Well, this page on the smartphones of the Google Pixel series seems to no longer exist and, according to the reports that are multiplying on the Net, also on some devices of other manufacturers, such as Samsung and Xiaomi, the button for checking the availability of updates has disappeared.
If initially someone thought that it could only be a bug, with the passing of the hours the hypothesis that the modification in question was actually wanted by the team of developers of the Mountain View giant, in order to make run this kind of update in the background and automatically, eliminating the possibility for users to manually manage the download.
Therefore, with the section dedicated to Google Play system updates, the US giant probably plans to show only another screen in the future when a new version is actually available for download.
