Huawei appears to be preparing to debut its Mate 50 smartphone series shortly. The company's next-generation flagship models are slated to be released next month, and the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro have already been identified on numerous Chinese certification databases.
The appearances on the certification website also point to an impending rollout. For those who are unaware, the Chinese tech giant is likely to debut a variety of Mate 50 series models, including the Mate 50, Mate 50e, Mate 50 Pro, and the Mate 50 RS version. Unfortunately, the firm has yet to officially divulge additional details about the new handsets, but recognised source Digital Chat Station has provided certain Mate 50 series characteristics.
According to their social media post, the Mate 50 series will be equipped with 66W fast charging capability and has just passed through three Chinese certification websites (namely 3C, SRRC, and CTA). Apart from the standard facial recognition technology for biometric security, the source also stated that the Huawei Mate 50 Pro would include a variety of unique features and capabilities. It will apparently include a curved display on the front as well.
According to prior reports, the Mate 50 series would use a 4G-only variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 778G SoC will power the Mate 50e variant. Aside from that, the standard model will have a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the higher end Pro and RS variants would have a refresh rate of 120Hz. So stay tuned for more, as we will provide further updates when more information on the Mate 50 series becomes available.
