Publication 9to5Mac has recently shared 3D CAD-based renders of the regular variant of the upcoming iPhone 15 series, which is expected to be launched later in September this year. Despite the official release being months away, there have already been numerous leaks and rumors circulating about what to expect from Apple's next-generation flagship phones.
According to recently leaked 3D CAD files, the upcoming iPhone 15 series will reportedly feature a Dynamic Island instead of a notch. This news was first rumored in September 2021, shortly after the launch of the iPhone 14 series, and was further confirmed by DSCC Analyst Ross Young. Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped camera housing that contains the front camera and Face ID sensors. This new development aligns with all previous reports and solidifies the rumors about the iPhone 15's design.
The leaked CAD files also suggest that the iPhone 15 will have a slightly larger display, measuring 6.2 inches compared to the current-generation iPhone 14's 6.06 inches. Additionally, the renders show that the iPhone 15 will come with a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port to comply with EU law. The device is also depicted with physical power and volume rocker buttons, indicating that the previously rumored solid-state buttons may only be available on the Pro variants.

Although the CAD files of the iPhone 15 have been leaked, it's important to note that they are not final. However, the information seems to be confirmed by an early live image of the iPhone 15 that was leaked on Twitter. With the launch of the iPhone 15 series still a few months away, it's advisable to approach this information with caution and not take it as confirmed until Apple makes an official announcement.
