Apple just revealed the flagship iPhone 14 smartphone lineup, and now reports regarding the next-generation iPhone SE, the fourth edition in the series, are circulating online.
In the most recent development, Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) released the display specifications for the next iPhone SE model.
In the most recent development, Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) released the display specifications for the next iPhone SE model.
According to Ross Young, the Apple iPhone SE 4 would feature a 6.1-inch LCD display with a notch on top. He claims to have changed his expectations from what he previously stated.
He previously stated that the next-generation iPhone SE might have a display size ranging from 5.7 to 6.1 inches and a punch-hole cutout on top of the screen for the front-facing camera sensors.
It is unknown if the notch of the next iPhone SE will have a TrueDepth camera array for Face ID, as previous models in the lineup do. According to certain sources, Apple will continue with Touch ID for the SE model and will not include the Face ID functionality.
There are also speculations that Apple is going to include a Touch ID Side button on the next-generation iPhone SE since there will be insufficient room on the front side of the device for a capacitive Touch ID Home button.
Because Apple has replicated the design of prior iPhone models for the SE series phones, it looks that the iPhone SE 4 will look similar to the iPhone X, which was released roughly five years ago.
