Last month, leaked images of the Moto Edge 40 Pro were released along with information on its price and specifications. It appears to be a version of the Moto X40, which was introduced in China in December. Recently, the Moto Edge 40 Pro's key specifications were revealed on the Geekbench website.
According to Geekbench's benchmark database, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is equipped with an ARMv8 processor that has a combination of three 2.02GHz cores, four 2.80GHz cores, and one 3.19GHz core. This is the same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing shows 12GB of RAM, but more options may be available at launch. The phone will come with Android 13 OS. In Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, the Moto Edge 40 Pro achieved scores of 1,480 points and 4,889 points, respectively.
If the Moto Edge 40 Pro is indeed a rebranded Moto X40, as suggested by the leaked renders, it is expected to have a 6.6-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The phone will have a 4,600mAh battery that supports 125W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It will feature a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens, as well as a 60MP selfie camera.
The Moto Edge 40 Pro is rumored to cost EUR 850, and more information on its global launch will be available in the upcoming weeks.
