Motorola is set to introduce several new smartphones, including the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, Edge 30 Fusion, and Edge 30 Neo, in the near future. A recent benchmark listing, however, has revealed that the company is also working on a new Moto G Go variant.
The forthcoming smartphone was recently discovered on the prominent testing platform GeekBench. According to this listing, the firm intends to introduce a new array of inexpensive smartphones under the G series label, with the Moto G Go serving as the initial model. According to the GeekBench database, the new device will ship with the Android 11 operating system.
The name of the gadget, however, suggests that it may operate on the Android Go variant of the operating system. For those who are unfamiliar, the Android Go version is essentially Android for handsets with little RAM and storage. The benchmarks listing shows the Moto G Go with 2GB of RAM, however a 3GB RAM model may potentially be available. Its storage options are not specified, although it is most likely 32GB or 64GB.
Another interesting characteristic released on the platform was the model number for the CPU in the Moto G Go. It is the "MT6762G," which is essentially the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Unfortunately, further specifics about this device are currently unknown.
