In the meantime, the owners of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 can also be rejoiced for the arrival of smart widgets, thanks to a new firmware during the roll out, initially only for users of South Korea but soon also for everyone else.
Before issuing the new firmware, strictly in beta version, for its most recent smartwatch, Samsung started the roll out, through the Galaxy Store, of the app destined to install the update on smartwatches. In order to access the download it is still necessary to register for the beta program using the Samsung Members app and choosing the One Ui Watch Beta program.
The new application does not seem to differ, at least from an aesthetic and functional point of view, from Galaxy Wearable but it is possible that functions are added in the future according to the needs of the new firmware. It should also be noted that the Beta program for Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is accessible only by the owners of an Samsung smartphone and that the new firmware will not be available, at least for the moment, for the LTE versions of the device.
Immediately after updating the application, the South Korean giant started the roll out of the new firmware, which can be downloaded via OTA and which brings numerous news. In fact, the official Changelog is definitely rich and shows a series of functions that will certainly be very welcome by the owners of the smartwatch.
We find new complications for the screen and an improvement in the main screen, the Dual SIM support with its interface, the QWERTY layout for the Samsung keyboard, which so far offered only the T9 and which therefore becomes a valid alternative to Gboard, the possibility of moving from the Keyboard to manual writing to the vocal one immediately and without interruptions and news related to notifications.
The latter in fact show additional information such as the Gmail account that generated the notification, thus making the reading of the messages from the smartwatch clearer.
Finally, remember that it is a beta firmware and that it could cause malfunctions, suddenly restarts or more consumption. At the moment Samsung has not foreseen the possibility of leaving the beta program and returning to the regular software, so carefully evaluated before proceeding with the registration with the beta program.
Smart Widget on Z Flip3:
Good news also for those who have purchased Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, which in these hours is receiving a new version of One UI 4.1. The update, available currently only in South Korea, brings several news, starting from the security patches of the month of May. There is also a new safety function that allows you to prevent unmissable applications from being performed on the smartphone. Several filters are available on which the user can intervene to decide which types of applications should not be performed.
The most interesting novelty, however, is the availability of smart widgets, a function that allows you to have more widgets within a single widget, so as to use only one space in the home. It is sufficient to scroll to the right or left to scroll through the widgets selected by the user.
At the moment the update is available only in Korea while for international users it is necessary to wait a few more days for the new firmware to be ready.
