According to reports from GalaxyClub, Samsung is considering the possibility of equipping the Galaxy S23 and S23 + smartphones with a front camera with a 12 MP sensor.
The source specifies that it is unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S23's front-facing camera will be located under the display like the Galaxy Z Fold3 or whether it will offer optical image stabilization (OIS).
It is also not known at the source whether the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will also receive a front camera with a higher resolution. Galaxy S20, S21 and Galaxy S22 Ultra are equipped with a 40MP sensor and it is unclear to what extent an update would be useful.
Given that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is still at least seven and eight months away, the company's plans may change several times, so this information is to be taken with a grain of salt. However, it makes sense that Samsung is at least considering introducing such an improvement.
