This year, Samsung will likely launch their next Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip during an Unpacked event in August. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 will be released this year. These will be the follow-ups to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, both of which cemented the brand's dominance in the foldable market. This week, we get our first look at likely renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The photographs were obtained by a source named OnLeaks, and the initial glimpse isn't promising.
From the outside, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 appears to be identical to its predecessor, with minimal differences in size. At the rear, you can see the Galaxy S22 Ultra-like camera module with triple sensors. The handset should also be offered in a variety of colours.
Like its predecessor, the phone has a thin profile and a flip-style form factor. When the display is unfurled, it reveals a tall flexible display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and a possible improved hinge design. The phone looks to be made of aluminium with a glass rear panel. However, the crease marks have significantly decreased.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 images also hints that Samsung will stick with the traditional punch hole structure for the camera.
The screen proportions remain the same in both open and closed mode, and it appears that Samsung didn't try to make many modifications, especially because there wasn't anything to complain about. However, as we saw with the Oppo N, the form factor might have been modified to make it broader rather than longer.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 specs are yet unknown, however we believe it will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ CPU. The images provide no information regarding whether Samsung would include S Pen compatibility in its foldable device, which might be limited to Galaxy S Ultra variants since that Samsung will no longer manufacture Galaxy Note handsets. The USB Type-C connector, primary microphone, SIM tray portion, and speaker grille are all visible at the device's bottom.
