Although it has only been a few months since vivo released its first foldable smartphone, the X Fold, the firm is already planning to introduce its sequel, a slightly updated version speculated to be called the vivo X Fold+ 5G. TENAA just validated the smartphone for sale in China, and this procedure showed that it had a 4,600 mAh battery capacity (made up of two 2,300 mAh parts). China's MIIT has now released photos of the upcoming foldable flagship.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be used in the vivo X Fold+ (up from the original 8 Gen 1), and the 4,600mAh battery will allow 80W fast charging (up from 66W).
The screens and cameras should remain unchanged from the original vivo X Fold. This translates to a 6.53" cover display (FHD+, 120Hz, AMOLED) and an 8.03" main display (1,916 x 2,160px, 120Hz, LTPO AMOLED).
The Zeiss-branded cameras are expected to include the same quartet of 50MP main module (1/1.57" sensor, 1.0m, OIS), 48MP ultra wide (114°), 12MP portrait cam (2x), and 8MP periscope (5x, OIS). There are also two selfie cameras, one outside and one inside.
The device is likely to be released this month, although no formal announcement has been made by vivo.
