According to what is learned thanks to this new version, the WhatsApp team is working on a feature that concerns groups and in particular administrators, all with the aim of ensuring better management of their respective groups.
The new option is called "group membership approval" and, when administrators enable it, it requires that all people who wish to join the group using an invitation link must be manually approved by one of the administrators (the event will be displayed in group chat).
Administrators will have to activate this function directly within the group settings to introduce the ability to approve group requests.
At the moment this feature is still under development and it is not known when it could be implemented in a stable version of the app.
