Wi-Fi 7 Networking Pro Series processors for enterprise access points, premium residential routers, and advanced mesh systems have been unveiled by Qualcomm. They provide up to 33 Gbps quad-band bandwidth over 16 streams, improved connection stability, and less interference. The four platforms part of this series support much wider 320MHz channels over 2.4GHz, 5Hz, and 6GHz spectrums.
Several vendors have launched solutions in the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) sector in recent months. Earlier last year, Mediatek showcased 802.11be-compliant silicon under the Filogic brand. During the ceremony, no specific technical details or part numbers were revealed. Broadcom unveiled its Wi-Fi 7 portfolio last month, which included several 802.11be radios for access points, a networking SoC designed with 802.11be bandwidth in mind, and a client radio for mobile applications.
