The Xiaomi 13 series was released in China today. It covers both the standard and Pro versions. The devices have considerable improvements and are the successors to last year's Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. At the event, Xiaomi also revealed the Redmi Buds 4, Watch S1 Pro, and MIUI 14 in addition to the smartphones. The Xiaomi 13 series has an AMOLED display, an inbuilt fingerprint scanner, and a central punch-hole cutout. Both smartphones include a refresh rate of 120Hz, a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG support. The normal model sports a 6.36-inch FHD+ flat screen, while the Pro model has a 6.73-inch QHD+ display with curved edges.
The Xiaomi 13 features a boxy form, however the Xiaomi 13 Pro is slim. Both devices have a square camera module on the back panel and are IP68 water and dust proof. The smartphones also boast Dolby Atmos-tuned twin speakers and utilise nano-skin technology to make cleaning the back panel easier.

The combination on the standard variant has a 50MP OIS-enabled Sony IMX800 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto unit. The Pro model includes a 50MP Sony IMX989 primary lens, as well as 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto lenses. Both phones have a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. The standard edition will also be available in five limited custom colours: Flame Red, Sapphire Blue, Hurricane Yellow, Jungle Green, and Cement Gray. It should be noted that the limited edition is only available in the 12GB + 512GB option.
